Rainbow Hot Springs

Located in the Weminuche Wilderness Area within the San Juan National Forest, north of Pagosa Springs, you'll find these natural hot springs. These waters are definitely for the adventurer type as you'll need to hike about 4.5 miles (one way) to reach the waters. The source of the waters is about 108 degrees and multiple rock walled primitive pools are available for soaking.

Penny Hot Springs

Located along the Crystal River in Garfield county, you'll find this natural rock walled hot spring. These natural hot springs are free to the public and easily accessible. The source of the water is around 125 degrees and flow into various pools alongside the river.

Conundrum Hot Springs ​

For advanced hiker adventurers, Conundrum Hot Springs is a dream. An 8.5 mile hike with epic views of the stunning Aspen backcountry takes you to these hot springs. There is one main hot spring as well as a few smaller pools that form downstream. The waters range from 100 to 104 degrees.

Radium Hot Springs

This natural hot spring is located along the Colorado river. It's an easy 1 mile hike from the Mugrage Campground. The waters are luke-warm around 97 degrees. This popular spot is highly frequented by cliff jumpers and river rafters.

South Canyon Hot Springs

Located in Glenwood Springs, a short hike takes you to these natural hot springs that are free to enter. The waters here fit around 10-15 people.

Rico Hot Springs

Found on the banks of the Dolores river in the San Juan National forest, you'll find two primitive natural hot springs (a short walk away from each other). Rico is found on private property and you must get permission from the owner before entering. The temperatures of the waters are around 99 to 101 degrees.

Nathan's Hippy Dippy Hot Spring

This natural rock walled hot spring is located along the San Juan River. The waters here come from runoff from the nearby hot springs resort. The temperature of the water at the source is about 104 degrees. If you don't want to pay to enter one of the nearby resorts, this is a great option.
