Hobo Hot Springs is located in the town Saratoga. This spot is truly a unique gem as it's operated by the town of Saratoga, free to the public, and open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! The American Indians who first enjoyed this hot spring believed that the waters had sacred healing powers. Hobo Hot Springs offers 2 outdoor pools with temperatures that very from 100°F to 119°F seasonally. The waters here are not treated with any chemicals. This spot is run solely based on donations, so do consider making a gift if you do visit.

Astoria Hot Springs Park Wyoming

Astoria Hot Springs Park is found along the Snake River in the Wyoming Bridger-Teton National Forest. The park is well maintained and managed by a non profit organization called Astoria Park Conservancy Trust. The park has five unique mineral hot spring fed pools and the water is untreated. The pools are kept at varying temperatures and include The Leisure Pool, The Children's Pool, The Meadow Pool, and the River Soaking Pools. Astoria's amenities include a snack stand as well as picnic areas. It's recommended to make a reservation prior to visiting as passes do sell out. The cost of a day pass to the park is $18 for adults and $14 for children.

3. Boiling River Hot Springs

Boiling River hot springs are natural Yellowstone hot springs located in Yellowstone National Park. This is a very unique hot spring as it's found at the intersection of cold river water and a hot spring. As you sit in the river you can feel the hot and cold waters swirling together for a very unique soaking experience. Getting to the hot spring requires a little over 1 mile round trip hike that begins at the Mammoth Hot Springs area by the north entrance of Yellowstone National Park.

4. Granite Hot Springs Pool

Granite Hot Springs pool is a large outdoor hot spring swimming pool, nestled alongside Granite Creek in the Bridger-Teton National Forest. The pool is managed by the forest service. This spot is incredibly scenic as the pool is surrounded by a forest of towering pine, spruce and fir trees. The water temperature varies by the season from around 94 degrees in summer to up to 112 in the winter. A maximum of 80 people are allowed in the pool at one time. Pro tip: call the Forest Service before visiting to learn the latest water temperature and operating hours. The pool is open most of the year (except for part of the winter). Be prepared to go off the grid as you swim here as there is no cell service available. There is a restroom and changing rooms on site. Camping spots are available nearby.

5. Saratoga Hot Springs Resort

Saratoga Hot Springs Resort is found in Saratoga, between the Snowy Range and the Sierra Madre Mountain Ranges, on the Upper North Platte River. The resort offers a large 70 foot long hot spring pool and 4 hot spring fed tubs. The temperature of the pool is kept between 82 and 90 degrees, and the tubs are held between 100 and 110 degrees. The waters here are not treated with any chemicals. During your stay, enjoy the Healing Waters Spa, Snowy Mountain Pub and Biergarten, Snowy Mountain Brewery, and Saratoga Public golf course.

6. Polecat Hot Springs

Polecat hot spring is a natural hot spring located just south of Yellowstone National Park. There are two rock walled hot spring tubs available, one on the top of the hill and one by the river. The temperature of the water is about 100 degrees. To get to the hot springs you can take the trail from Headwaters Lodge & Cabins.

7. ​Hellie's TeePee and Spa

Hellie's TeePee and Spa​ is located about one mile outside of Thermopolis, in Hot Springs State Park. This spot is very popular with locals and features 3 hot spring fed pools as well as 4 hot spring fed tubs of varying temperatures. We love that this resort does not treat its water with any chemicals. Hellie's Teepee and Spa is not the most picturesque resort, but it is well managed and fully functional. The resort is open from 9am to 9pm daily and the cost of admission for adults is $15.50.

8. Fountain of Youth RV Park

Located about 4 miles north of Thermopolis, the Fountain of Youth RV Park offers the largest mineral hot spring pool in the state of Wyoming and the third largest in the world. The waters come from the Sacajawea Well, named after the famous Native American who led explorers Lewis and Clark to the Pacific ocean. The pool is kept at about 100 degrees. The resort offers camping and RV spots. Tent spaces cost $35 per night and camper spots are $45/night. You can also enjoy the resort for the day at a cost of $10/person.

9. Hot Springs State Park Bath House

The Hot Springs State Park Bath House is managed by the state park and located in Thermopolis. You can soak for free here for 20 minutes. The pools are kept around 104 degrees and are very clean. The facility offers free wifi, bathrooms and lockers.

10. Star Plunge Hot Springs

Star Plunge Hot Springs is a family oriented Hot Spring water park, located in Thermopolis, Wyoming. The park offers 2 large hot spring pools, 3 waterslides, 2 hot spring tubs, a vapor cave and 2 hot spring baby pools. The pools and tubs vary from 94 to 104 degrees. Star Plunge does not treat the water with any chemicals. Additional amenities at the park include: a high jump, a basketball hoop, sun decks, a fitness room, a game room, and a snack bar. The cost to enter for adults is $15.50 and $7.00 for children 4 and under.

11. Huckleberry Hot Springs

Huckleberry Hot Springs is a natural hot spring located near Yellowstone National Park. This hot spring originates in a pool that is 155 degrees, that is too hot to swim in. However, these waters cool off as they flow into smaller pools that you can soak in. The pools do have dirt bottoms and algae. It is also not recommended to dip your head under the waters here due to organisms that may be present.
